Adding logos to library thumbnails

Some styles in the library may contain multiple materials, include animation controls, or have some other feature not immediately obvious from the thumbnail. To make this clearer for the user we can add small icons to the thumbnail. This short guide explains how to use photoshop droplets to automate the bulk adding of icons to thumbnails to help speed up to creation of large libraries.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Logos.psd then unhide and select the relevant icon layer and press Ctrl+A to select all.
  2. Hit Ctrl+C to Copy the Icons to the Clipboard.
  3. Drag individual, multiple or folders of thumbnail images on to the Add_Logo.exe droplet found in Subversion->RailClone Library->scripts->Add_Logos folder

The droplet will overwrite the original images so ensure they are backed up before running to allow for changes to be made at a later date.
